Collaboration is key.

Some clients hand over a project in it's entirety and leave the creative, producing, and direction up to me.  Other times, I'll be approached with a client's vision and it's just my job to execute.  This was the case with Cailee.  

With the other stuff out of the way, it can be very liberating to focus just on building a cohesive and beautiful version of their imagination.  As a director it's often the most freeing to work this way and some of my favorite work has come from it.
